MARRIAGE AND FAMILY DEPARTMENT

Family
Before the laws and human government, God instituted the family as the backbone of society. The first family settled before there was sin (Gen. 2:21-25). Family is the foundation of society; if the family disintegrates, society falls into total chaos.

Marriage
The Matrimonial marriage was established by God, between a man and woman, as a dynamic, special, loving relationship, care and trust between man and woman. In marriage, God must be the center and the inexhaustible source of love that abates in us to forgive, to love, understand and to have mutual satisfaction.

In this ministry, we have various meetings and events to strengthen the marriage, and family ties. At FCC, we have a clear family approach in our preaching and teachings.

ENGLISH ADULTS DEPARTMENT

Welcome to A.L.I.V.E.!

We are an English speaking group derived from Family Community Center (FCC). Our mission is to reach our community by spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ; in hope of impacting many lives. We do this by intensively studying the scriptures on a weekly basis and small group discussions. We also host community outreaches, with the purpose of building life changing relationships  with individuals within our community. Our services are held Wednesday nights  at 7 p.m. and Sunday mornings  at 10 a.m. We also host our small group discussions the first Friday of every month. All our efforts are towards promoting the love that only God can provide.

My name is Emmanuel Prado and i would like to formally introduce myself as the director of this ministry and share with you a little about myself. I grew up in Bakersfield, CA and encountered the love of God at the age of 21. Growing up in Bakersfield has made me fully aware of the need in our community and has inspired me to reach as many people by a sharing the same message that transformed my life.

We hope to see you soon!

PRAYER MINISTRY

Prayer still remains the most effective means to communicate with God.

At FCC, we have a group of believers who continually intercede in prayer for the needs that require divine intervention. We can pray for you. You are not alone.

Every Saturday, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. We have a special prayer meeting.  It is open for all who want to attend.  Several times thoughout the year, we hold prayer vigils for 6 or 12 hours, with a specific program to follow.
If you have a prayer request, you may call the Church office at the following number.

VISITATION

This ministry is responsible for addressing two groups in particular: New individuals and families who come to our church for the first time, and who do not regularly attend another evangelical church. They follow up on your visit and offer information, moral and spiritual support and prayer for their needs.

This group also coordinates visits with people who are sick and need to be visited. They do the work with the attitude of Christ; by helping those in need.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

The Christian Education of FCC

What does this department cover?

Includes all the educational area of our church. This includes Sunday School, AWANA, Bible Club and discipleship program.

What is the Discipleship Program?

It is a sequence of interrelated studies that guide a person newly converted in the process to prepare you to become a leader. This process is called, the Map of Ministry.

The first course is called: Rock Solid, building my faith in Jesus Christ. It consists of three lessons with the basics to have a fundamental relationship with Christ.

The second course is called: Within the Family, since the church is our family in faith. This course touches FCC's core values, our DNA as a congregation, the importance of being part of this and how the church is the center of operations of the Holy Spirit. Both classes are a prerequisite for those who want to become members of our congregation.

The third course is the class of Membership. This course explains what is the church, our vision and mission and our strategy to achieve it. Also, you are taught part of our fundamental doctrine, our history as a denomination and as a local church, culminating in the membership covenant.

The fourth course is called: Roles in the family. This class is intended to teach biblically about the role of parents, spouses, children, and the relationship with the in-laws. All in order to learn to have a pattern of appropriate behavior, and to also have healthy relationships in the Christian home.

The fifth course is called: Christian Maturity, we analyze in detail the 5 Habits necessary to advance to real maturity in Christ. The sixth is the Balanced Spiritual Life, in this, guidelines are provided to maintain a healthy balance in doctrine, family and ministry. The seventh is the course of gifts and ministries that aims to explain to the students the differences and similarities between them, and so they can begin to discover which they have. The eighth is the profile ministry, in this course the student is challenged to find both the combination of temperaments, through a test and how they identify with some specific ministries.

The last one is a leadership course synthesized. We analyze the Biblical qualities to be a leader, what one must be and do to become a leader and practical ways to carry out an effective ministry. If you want to know more about this department, you can call the office for more information.
